How We Handle Your Appointment

From your first message to the day you walk out of the INM office with your residency confirmed — here's exactly what happens.

1Start

Free Consultation Call

A 30-minute call to map your situation: which visa category fits, your ideal city, your travel timeline, and any prior immigration history. We set clear expectations and answer every question before any fees are involved.

Same day response
2Prep

Personalised Document Checklist

Within 24 hours we send you a precise, categorised document checklist tailored to your visa type and personal circumstances. Every item is explained in plain English so you know exactly what to gather and in what format.

Within 24 hours
Pro tip: Most Canadians already have 80% of the documents they need — we make sure the remaining 20% doesn't catch you off-guard at the office.
3Book

Appointment Monitoring & Slot Grab

We monitor INM availability around the clock in your chosen city. The moment a suitable slot opens, we move immediately. In high-demand cities like Playa del Carmen and Cancún this makes all the difference — slots that would take you weeks to find manually are secured within days.

Typically 24–72 hours
Why this matters: INM slots release unpredictably at off-peak hours. Manual checking means you'll almost always miss them.
4Prep

Pre-Appointment Briefing

Once your appointment is confirmed, we send a complete briefing package: where to go, what to bring (in exact order), what the officer will ask, how to answer, and what to expect at each stage. You walk in prepared — not anxious.

Immediately on confirmation
5Done

Post-Appointment Follow-Through

We stay with you after your INM appointment through biometric scheduling, card collection, and any follow-up paperwork until your residency card is physically in your hands. Our job isn't done at the door.

Until your card arrives

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get an INM appointment through you?
In most cases we secure an appointment within 24–72 hours of your file being activated. In high-demand cities like Playa del Carmen or Cancún during peak season it can take a few days longer, but we'll always give you a realistic estimate upfront — and we'll never leave you waiting without updates.
Do I need to already be in Mexico?
No. We can prepare your file and secure your appointment before you arrive in Mexico. Many clients plan their travel dates around the confirmed appointment we secure for them — this is often less stressful and more efficient than arriving and then waiting weeks for a slot.
What visa types does this service cover?
We cover Temporary Residency (Rentista and Lucrative Activities), Permanent Residency exchanges, and Temporary Residency renewals. If you're unsure which category applies to you, our free consultation will clarify this immediately — it's one of the first things we determine.
What is included in the fee?
Our fee covers the complete appointment management service: initial consultation, personalised document checklist, appointment monitoring and slot grab, Spanish form completion, pre-appointment briefing, and post-appointment follow-up until your card arrives. Mexican government fees — paid directly at the INM office — are separate, and we'll tell you exactly what to expect before your appointment.
I already have a visa stamp — what exactly happens at the INM appointment?
At the INM appointment, an immigration officer reviews your documents, asks a few standard questions, and — if everything is in order — initiates your residency record in their system. You then attend a follow-up biometrics session (fingerprints and photo), and your physical residency card is produced and collected shortly after. We guide you through every one of these steps.
What if I need to reschedule?
Contact us as early as possible. With enough notice we can usually rebook without significant delays. Clients on our managed plans have priority rebooking access. What you want to avoid is simply not showing up — INM offices track no-shows and it can complicate future bookings.
